Management Partnership.
The "Pipeline Inspection, Protection, Enforcement, and Safety Act of 2006" requires SCADA users to review and audit alarms on their SCADA systems. To address these requirements and provide customers an easy way to comply with them, Telvent integrated TiPS LogMateŽ alarm management software system with their OASyS system. Telvent Alarm Manager - Powered by LogMateŽ is the result. It brings an integrated alarm management solution to the pipeline industry. Although the focus of the integration is on the OASyS DNA system, Telvent Alarm Manager - Powered by LogMateŽ can be interfaced with all Telvent SCADA systems. This allows alarm information from multiple types of systems to be consolidated in a central depository. Telvent selected TiPS based on their market position, their technology alignment with Telvent products as well as LogMate's rich features set and experience in all aspects of alarm management. TiPS Incorporated and their LogMate product suite integrates with Telvent products by providing a drop in alarm management infrastructure that includes a complete set of tools for any
alarm management activity, from nuisance alarm reduction, to system rationalization and performance tracking.
